Laura Temel

Laura Temel is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in activism and raid defense at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where Laura has held positions as Director and Vice President since February 2020. In addition to her role at Bank of America, Laura serves as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and was a Fellow at The Economic Club of New York from January 2019 to February 2020. Prior to this, Laura was Principal at AFWco, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a Senior Advisor, managing a large staff and advising on key financial issues. Previous entrepreneurial endeavors include co-founding FitCause and establishing PadTies, while startup experience includes participation in the Nike+ Accelerator Program through Techstars. Laura holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
