Thomas Greuter

Thomas Greuter is a highly accomplished gastroenterologist and hepatologist, currently serving as a Professor at USI Università della Svizzera italiana and Head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) since May 2025. Greuter's extensive clinical experience includes roles as an Adjunct Consultant and Consultant at CHUV | Lausanne University Hospital, and as an Independent Research Group Leader and Fellow at University Hospital Zürich. Greuter previously held senior consulting positions at GZO Spital Wetzikon and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA in General Management and Digital Transformation from the University of Zurich, a Privatdozent in Gastroenterology from the same institution, and multiple degrees in medicine from the University of Zurich and Duke University.
