Steven D. Dallas

Steven D. Dallas has extensive experience in microbiology, currently serving as the Director of the Microbiology Laboratory at University Health since October 2013 and as an Associate Professor at UT Health San Antonio since January 2009. At UT Health, Steven teaches microbiology to a diverse group of students, including those in Medical Laboratory Science, medical, PA, pathology, infectious diseases, and pharmacy programs. Prior to these roles, Steven was the Director of Microbiology at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC, from June 1998 to July 2008, leading a full-service reference laboratory microbiology department. Steven holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Abilene Christian University.
